NGN has recently appointed Ayana Journeys in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to represent the Wisdom Wednesday Series on Ethical Volunteering.

Wisdom Wednesdays were conceived by NGN in Nepal in 2014.

A primary reason we chose Ayana Journeys has to do with the fact that we share the same philosophy on child protection and the issues of orphanage voluntourism and it’s roots in child trafficking.

Talks will include:

  • Ethical tourism insights
  • Advice to travelers wanting to volunteer
  • An exploration of the complexities of “giving back”
  • Highlights on local issues like visiting orphanages and voluntourism.

You can learn more about the schedule for the upcoming Wisdom Wednesday meetings on the Ayana Journeys website.

We Need Your Help

As of 2017, there are still 15,000 children living in abusive orphanages. 80% of these children are not orphans; they have families. Help us reunite them.
